The Easy way to repair Microsoft Windows

I came across this useful Windows command which you run from a command prompt. I have no idea why I have not come across it before as it would have saved me a lot of time and pain when having to reinstall other peoples damaged Windows installations. This command scans your Windows installation for corrupted or missing files and if it finds any it asks you for your Windows CD and replaces the corrupted or missing files with those on the CD.

The command is: scf /scannow
