Cache and carry

I met Mark and Richard for lunch yesterday and before we started in on our lemon chicken, we went through the usual routine of emptying our pockets of mobile phones and other electronic gadgets in order to sit a little more comfortably.

Mark took one look at all the gadgets on the table and said something like "I wonder how much storage capacity we have here right now between the three of us". Of course if you said something like that in other company people would think you are nuts, but among fellow geeks?

Thirty seconds later we’d added up the storage space in our mobile phones (plus any expansion cards), digital cameras, mp3 players, and USB memory sticks. The total was pretty impressive.
